The shakers feature cute mustached faces, red bow ties, big bellies, yellow pants and black shoes, they look like the typical Italian chef. They will make you smile every time you look at them.
They were made in Japan in the 1950's. The original paper sticker is still affixed to the bottom on one of the pieces and the word JAPAN is molded into the porcelain on the bottom.
There is paint missing on the cold painted areas, tie, shoes, hair, which is normal for pieces this old. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Plastic stoppers. Incised "JAPAN" with Japan Blue Label sticker. (see Photos)
