This vintage pitcher/jug is memorabilia from the same name restaurant in San Pedro. John Papadakis was the owner who would break out in a Greek dance in the middle of the restaurant with belly dancers with music playing loudly. It was an event every night ! He played in one of the most important football games in history in 1971 while at UCA against the all white Alabama team. That game helped the beginning of integrating Alabamas football team. Papadakis Taverna was the hot spot for stars like Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Tom Hanks and it's also the last place Natalie Wood ate the night before she drowned in 1981. The restaurant closed in 2010 but they had 37 great years ! Great item for all kinds of collectors ! Excellent condition, 6.5x4 inches.
