This lovely basket is in the "Iris" pattern by Hull Pottery. It has a matte finish, and the colors blend from blue on the base to cream to pink at the rim and handle. Pretty pink and yellow irises with green leaves decorate the front and back of the basket. Marked, "HULL / USA/ 408-7"/ 22 (decorator's mark)". Size: 7 in. high x 7½ in. long x 4 7/8 in. wide. In very good condition: there are three tiny glaze pops on the handle 1 mm or less (see close-up photo) and one on the inside bottom of the bowl - all done at the time of manufacture. The basket also has a few tiny marks on one side, probably from storage (I wouldn't even call them scratches). Circa 1940's; guaranteed to be authentic Hull.
