However, when effectiveness begins to diminish depending on gas volume and severity of odor, the carbon filter-absorber will need to be restored by exposing it to a low heat source for several hours - eight to ten hours in direct sunlight works well. Eventually, they will fail to be restored and should be replaced with FreshSeatRx refills after several weeks of heavy use.
