Stainless Steel 17-4 PH (Type 630) Condition A. ASTM F899 (Chemistry Only) Annealed, Drawn, Cleaned, Straightened, and Cut with Bright Finish. This Martensitic Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel is provided in Condition A (annealed) and can be subjected to eight standard heat treatments that have been developed for post fabrication conditioning. This alloy is widely used in the aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, food processing, paper, and general metalworking industries. Short-time, low temperature heat treatments minimize distortion and scaling. 17-4 PH provides an outstanding combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties at temperatures up to 600 Deg F (316 Deg C), and good toughness in both base metal and welds.
