A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, with the latter marked by a red ring. The good side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without extra force. If not, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in up to two turns by hand. More than that indicates the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. A reference temperature of 20° Celsius applies to the workpieces and gauges. Upon request, VÖLKEL provides a factory calibration certificate. Independent lab calibration follows set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
