Their thin, flexible bristles, embedded with sharp, clean, specially treated ceramic abrasive grain, outperform rubber wheels, brushes, buffs, and conventional sanders, working faster and lasting longer. These discs generate minimal dust and heat, eliminating the need for polishing compound. For most applications, recommended operating speeds range from 3,000 to 18,000 RPM (5,000 RPM for woodworking). Lower speeds offer a softer touch, greater flexibility, and more subtle results, while higher speeds provide more aggressive material removal. To maximize disc life, use the tips of the bristles with light pressure.
