A grid coated with formvar, reinforced with evaporated carbon film. This coating excels in supporting specimens, particularly ultra-thin sections. Each grid undergoes optical inspection and batch testing in an electron microscope. They are stored in grid boxes. Note: All film is placed on the grid's shiny side. The formvar layer is 15 to 20 nm thick, with a 3 to 4 nm carbon coating.
