In 2020, Peugeot is redesigning the mill as part of a more environmentally-friendly strategy to save the planet's resources and has therefore created the Bistro Nature range. The body of the French-made Bistro Nature pepper mill is made from bits of wood that are discarded during the manufacturing process. The wood is given a textured finish by blasting with ground nutshells. This technique offers the wood a unique look and feel. An eco-friendly varnish comprising linseed oil and carnauba wax is then applied to extend the mill's service life and increase its resistance to wear and tear. As with all Peugeot mills, the Bistro Nature pepper mill features a lifetime-guaranteed steel mechanism. The 10 cm Bistro Nature mill is filled with Kampot black pepper grown on a certified organic and fair trade farm. • READY TO SEASON — Our salt mills come partially filled with Cristaux de sel blanc d'Allemagne, a dry white salt from Germany, and our pepper mills with Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam (refill cubes are available from Peugeot). Fill with peppercorns (max size ¼-inch/6mm) and dry salt only (max size ⅙-inch/4mm) — do not use sea salt
