CANSON Montval is a watercolor paper developed by Gaspard Maillol, nephew of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, which was produced by CANSON at his request in the early 20th century. This Montval paper with a grammage of 300 g/m² is suitable for all wet techniques, such as watercolor, but also gouache or acrylic. Made in France, premium watercolor paper is easy to use. Due to its corrective ability, i.e. the painted can be “deleted”, Montval is particularly suitable for beginners and advanced players. You can remove the paint with a damp brush without damaging the paper, so forgive any mistakes. The paper is acid-free and free of optical brighteners, which means that the white tone persists over time and the watercolor paper does not yellow. In addition, it is treated fungicide to protect the paper and to ensure optimum ageing resistance. The watercolor paper complies with ISO standard 9706, as it meets the requirements for ageing resistance and archiving. The paper fibres are made from FSC-certified wood. This will ensure transparent, sustainable forest management. The box on the back provides enough stability to be able to use the block on the go.
