Broccoli Seeds - Chinese Broccoli - Early Jade - Hybrid. Non-GMO. Brassica oleracea var alboglabra. 40-50 days to maturity. Cool season annual. Early maturity variety, 45-50 days in spring, 40-45 days in summer and fall. Leaves and stems are dark green and tender. Plants are uniform and vigorous. Slow bolting characteristics. Strong DM resistance. Good for full maturity gailan and baby gailan (gailan mui). This variety is good is good for baby size production. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost to early summer or late summer to early fall. Sow seeds in late spring to fall (cool areas). Can be planted year-round in subtropical areas. Keep soil moist. Harvest main stalk when about 8-10" tall and when 2-3 flowers are about to open. After this cut, the plant branches freely for an extended harvest but stems and leaves will be smaller. The soft leaves and tender, crispy stems have an excellent flavor when steamed, in stir-fry dishes or soup. Approximately 9000 seeds an ounce.
