I have been collecting Pez since 1981. I have also been selling Pez since 1991, traveling throughout the United States and Europe attending many Pez conventions and gatherings. I was so fascinated by the number of Pez dispenser variations, that I started to catalog them and organize them in a book. The first edition of the Original Collector's Price Guide to Pez was self-published in 1992. Since 1992, I have updated the Pez Price Guide with new Pez dispenser releases, previously undiscovered Pez dispensers, and prices.The Original Collector's Price Guide to PEZ, 37th Edition, is intended to serve as a convenient, east-to-use aid for Pez hobbyists, serious collectors and dealers to assign a price range for Pez dispensers. The prices in the guide are a reflection of market values of Pez collectible dispensers at the date of the publication, based on a continuing survey of transactions recorded by internet auctions, individual collector's sales at trade shows and in published sales lists. Although a special effort is made to ensure accuracy, the values should be considered representative and instructive rather than as firm recommendations. Buyers and sellers should be aware, too, that a number of factors might influence the actual price of any single Pez item, including its age, condition, availability and geographical location.The price ranges listed in this guide are precisely that, the high and low prices for a dispenser during the most recent survey period. These ranges may differ from prices shown on internet auction sites such as eBay, which typically represent the prices buyers are willing to pay rather than the values of the broader marketplace. In all cases, the prices apply to items in excellent condition.
