USRA 0-6-0 - TCS DCC SOUND VALUE-EQUIPPED Locomotive - CENTRAL RAILROAD of NEW JERSEY #115 - HO Scale. One of the most versatile steam locomotives to come out of the early 20th century was the USRA 0-6-0. The type was first manufactured for the United States Railroad Administration during the temporary public ownership of rail infrastructure in World War 1. Capable as both a yard switcher and a light road locomotive for branch lines and industrial trackage, the locomotive quickly found its way to all corners of the United States. Even after the war, the unprecedented popularity of the design ensured that production would continue, with many of the major private rail companies ordering their own "copycat" versions in the ensuing years.
