Rare Antique Staffordshire Copper Luster Rearing Stallion Mantel Figurines c1910

Antique matched pair of Staffordshire rearing stallion mantelpiece figurines with a brilliant copper luster finish. An estate find that dates to the early 1900s, this is a rare set of fine art stallions of substantial size in beautiful heirloom condition. Standing approximately 12 inches in height, each figurine measures 11.5 inches in length and 4.25 inches wide. No chips, cracks, crazing, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections are found. Occasional and random spots of glaze skipping are seen, a common occurrence during the firing process. This does not affect their integrity or value. A vent hole is visible on the base of each.
