The Arabian is probably my favorite of the Hartland Regal series of models. This is my first chance to customize one, and he is just a magnificent model to work with! I named him Janus because when I first got him he had a nasty seam split in his face, which I repaired along with removing his other seams and his Hartland logo. I also sculpted chestnuts and correct stallion parts. His ears, nostrils, mouth, and hooves have all been carved.
I then painted him to a dark steel gray *just* beginning to show graying and faint dapples, with two little socks on his front legs. The photos don't do justice to the little details! His eyes, nostrils, mouth, and hooves have been glossed. I can't promise LSQ as he has a few tiny flaws here and there, but he would be an excellent addition to a collection. He is not a toy, but has been created as an art piece. He measures 9 1/2 tall, similar to a Breyer traditional model.
