Offering these two Japanese Kokeshi dolls. The first is a Kokeshi doll by Yuji Kawase, solid wood, hand-painted, detailed, from 1976. The second is a Kokeshi doll by Usaburo Okamoto, two pieces. The container and the top are wooden. The artist is the founder of the Usaboro Kokeshi Company in Japan. The bottom is painted with “5.12.1976 (5.12 is my birthday (not year). The bottom is a hand-carved, one piece of paulownia wood. Measures approx. 9” H x 3 ¼” OSD. The top is approx. 4 ½” OSD x 3 ¾” H. Hand-painted in great detail. I am the original owner of both pieces. Looking for a new collector. Please see all photos as they are part of this listing. Packaged with care. I received these when I was teaching English in Japan in 1976.
