Vintage S.SALM Solingen Germany 9.25" Long #3 Scissors Paper Office Desk Gold Plate Wear Off
There is a number 3 stamped in inside where blades are attached. Not sure if this was the model or size.
I believe these were made between 1945 and 1951 but no guarantee. S. Salm, Inc was established in 1945 and closed in 1951.
I have had these in my desk drawer for over 25 years. They belonged to my Granny previously.
The scissors appear to be in decent vintage condition. There is wear on the handles from regular use and much of the gold or brass (not sure) plating has worn off the handles. There is dirt and some surface rust.
Blades are sharp but could use sharpening and there is no damage to the blades except tiny area on tip on one blade is slightly bent. This does not affect use. The shears measure 9 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide with the blade closed.
Preowned vintage condition with patina present. Not a new item expect signs of use and wear fading.
