I worked at Hermes for 8 yrs and not sure what the H label means. I searched the internet but came up empty to its significance. I can only summize that it may be a selling floor sample which are shown to buyers so they can place their department store orders. The tie does have the classic Hermes stamp logo and the designer style stamp on it in uniform with the typical colors used in the tie front which must also match in color to each other. When a fashion house stops production of a collection to move on to the next collection these samples will often be offered to employees at a reduced price. Have a feeling this is how I obtained it. I can tell by the designer design serial number that this tie is dated from either the late 50's to early 60's. 100% silk.
