RARE Hard to Find - Antique Zell Majolica Dinnerware Cake Platter & Lid
Brand/Pattern: Zell - Majolica LDBC Basketweave Floral Hand Painted
Items: 2 piece set - Platter/Plate & accompanying Cover Lid
Lid: approx 9 wide x 4 high - Underplate: 12 1/2 wide x 14 wide across to handles.
The plate has the circular LDB Co stamp with Hand Painted Germany around the outside & DEMOR NICE around the inside. It also has the impressed Zell pattern # 2830 . Inside the lid is impressed pattern # 2831 . It features bright flowers around perimeter & a recessed handle that lets you put it down flat on its top. The underplate has full basketweave design to the very center & two reticulated handles on the ends
Colors: Vibrant - Yellow, blue and red flowers, green leaves and brown stems
Origin: Germany
Believed to be from the 1930's
EUC - No noted crazing, chips or cracks; a couple of minor small rough to the touch surface spots
