This piece is a beautiful Cesm-i Bulbul art glass vase, a traditional Turkish glassmaking style originating in the late 18th century at the Beykoz glassworks near Istanbul. "Cesm-i Bulbul" translates to "the nightingale's eye," referring to the distinctive spiral cane pattern. This hand-blown vase features alternating cobalt blue and clear glass canes twisted into an elegant latticino swirl, a ruffled flared rim, and a polished pontil base. Measures approximately 9.5" tall by 3.5" wide.
