Antique British oil lamp from the early 20th century. Double wick oil lamps were developed in Britain in the mid 19th century. A lot of these lamps were electrified, not many are remaining in their original function, in a good working condition. This specific lamp also contains a lever operated snuffle, which makes removal of the glass chimney unnecessary when turning off the lamp.
The base is copper and black glazed ceramic. The rest of the lamp was also made of copper, and a clear glass chimney is also included.
NOTE: due to shipping regulations, we are required to drain every drop of lamp oil and remove any oil soaked wick before sending off this lamp.
