Wow, from Argentina comes this very rare, hand carved anteater. When doing research couldn't find any on google or ebay. This is definitely an older piece. You can see and feel the carving around the holder, it is rough hewn but smooth. It looks to be made of Piquillan wood, native to Argentina. Great alone or in a set of carved animal napkin holders.
