The coin minted in Western Asia Minor, circa 323-310 BC. Early posthumous issue under authority of Alexander's half-brother Philip III. The coin is 2300+ years old! Coin's obverse: Head of Alexander as Herakles right, wearing lion's skin. Coin's reverse: Hercules' weapons (club and bow in bow-case), BASI for BASILEOS (KING) in between. Reference book: M.J. Price 2800 (Hemiobol/Four Chalkoi) type 2B. Provenance: Savoca Coins Auction House (Munich, Germany).
